01This website
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, has no sign-up form, and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and reliability. Links to Discord, GitHub or other services take you to their sites, where their own privacy policies apply. If we ever add privacy-friendly analytics, we'll say so here first.
02The app runs on your PC
VTube Pro is a small local server plus a studio page in your browser, both on your own computer. It listens only on your own machine (127.0.0.1) and refuses requests from websites. There is no VTube Pro account and no VTube Pro cloud.
03Your camera and microphone
Face, body and voice tracking happen on your PC, on your graphics card. Video and audio are not uploaded anywhere by VTube Pro. Optional learning features (like learning your speaking style) are off until you turn them on, and they keep what they learn on your PC.
04Your avatars, settings and keys
Your avatars live in your library folder. API keys, chat connections and OBS passwords are stored in settings files on your PC and are only ever sent to the service they belong to. Updates never touch them.
05Multiplayer and model custody
When you play with friends, tracking and shared avatars go directly between your computers over an encrypted connection (WebRTC). A small relay that you run introduces the computers to each other and never sees your avatar or video. A friend's avatar is checked, sealed with AES-256 encryption, kept in memory only, and wiped when they leave, the party ends or the app closes. It is never saved to disk and can't be exported. You choose, every session, whether to share your avatar and who may see it. This is careful engineering, not DRM: anyone can still screen-record a stream.
06Chat and AI services you connect
Chat connectors are read-only: they never post or moderate on your behalf. If you connect an AI provider with your own key, your prompts go to that provider under their terms. Local models (Ollama, LM Studio) keep everything on your PC. Anything an AI wants to change on your stream waits for your approval click.
