OBS setup
Add VTube Pro as a transparent 60 fps Browser Source.
VTube Pro sends your avatar (or your whole 3D room) to OBS through one Browser Source. The background is transparent, so it sits on top of your game, camera or overlays like any other layer.
Add the Browser Source
- In OBS, go to Sources → + → Browser, and name it "VTube Pro".
- Set URL to
http://127.0.0.1:5191/output.html?focus=bust. The OBS tab inside the studio shows the exact URL for your setup, with a copy button. - Set Width 1920, Height 1080 and FPS 60. Use 30 on a weaker PC.
- Untick "Shutdown source when not visible", so switching scenes doesn't reload your avatar.
- Click OK.
Turn on hardware acceleration
In OBS go to Settings → Advanced and make sure Browser Source Hardware Acceleration is on. Without it, the source is slow or black.
Framing and options
Add these to the end of the URL:
| Add | What it does |
|---|---|
focus=head, focus=bust or focus=full | How much of you is in frame |
&fps=30 | A lighter stream on older PCs |
&avatar=<id> | Pin one specific avatar in this source |
The output follows whatever the studio shows: change avatar, room or stage mode in the studio and OBS changes with it.
Rooms and your game capture
When you use a 3D room, the room's TV screen is a see-through "hole". Put your Game Capture or Window Capture below the VTube Pro source in OBS, and it appears on the in-room screen.
Zoom, Discord or Meet
Use OBS's Start Virtual Camera, then pick "OBS Virtual Camera" as your camera in the call app.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Black or not transparent | Check the URL starts with http://127.0.0.1:5191/output.html. Turn on hardware acceleration, then right-click the source → Refresh cache of current page. |
| Avatar frozen | The studio must be open and tracking. The OBS page follows the studio. |
| Stutters | Try &fps=30, or a lower quality tier in the studio's Setup. |
