Getting started
Download, double-click Start VTube Pro, and be tracking in minutes.
VTube Pro is in early beta and the download opens soon. This guide is here so you're ready on day one.
What you need
- A Windows 10 or 11 PC. A graphics card from the last several years helps a lot (NVIDIA or AMD).
- Chrome or Edge.
- Any webcam. A microphone makes lip sync much better.
- About 1 GB of free disk space.
You don't need to install anything else first. The launcher gets everything ready for you.
1. Download and unzip
Download VTube Pro and unzip it anywhere you like, for example Documents\VTube Pro. Spaces in the folder name are fine.
2. Double-click "Start VTube Pro"
The first time, it sets itself up. That takes a few minutes, and if Windows asks to install Node.js, say yes. Then the studio opens in your browser and offers you a desktop shortcut. After that, it starts in seconds.
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway. VTube Pro isn't code-signed yet during the beta. You can also right-click the downloaded zip, choose Properties → Unblock, and then unzip it.
3. Follow the welcome steps
The studio opens at http://127.0.0.1:5191/. That address is your own PC, not a website. Allow the camera and microphone when your browser asks.
- Pick your camera and microphone, then press Start tracking.
- Sit naturally for a second so VTube Pro learns your neutral face. You can recalibrate any time.
- Choose an avatar. Sample avatars are included, or import your own
.vrmor.glb. - Pick a room if you want a 3D set, or stay in the classic transparent layout.
4. Put it in OBS
Add one Browser Source in OBS and you're live. The OBS setup guide has the exact settings.
When you're done
Double-click Stop VTube Pro. You can close the black launcher window at any time: VTube Pro keeps running in the background until you stop it.
If something goes wrong
| Problem | Fix |

| Camera or mic missing, or black | Allow camera and microphone for 127.0.0.1 in the browser (the lock icon in the address bar). Close other apps that use the camera, such as Zoom, Teams, or an OBS Video Capture of the same camera. |
| Tracking feels slow | Lower the quality tier (Low or Medium) in Setup, and close extra studio tabs. |
| "Another program is using port 5191" | If that's VTube Pro itself, Start VTube Pro just opens the studio. Otherwise close the other program. |
| It won't start | The launcher prints the last messages. Run it again and read what it says: most problems come with a plain fix. |
Your avatars, settings and diagnostics are never touched by updates.
